Who arranges it — contractor or owner?
Either; the contract says who. Send it and we'll read it.
Does it cover the client's existing property?
As an extension, if declared.
Is hired-in plant covered?
Yes, under contractors' plant & machinery — declare the hire values.
Does cover continue after handover?
A maintenance period can be added, usually 12 months.
How is the sum insured set?
Full contract value plus free-issue materials; new replacement value for plant.
